Mike, let me throw something out there..
Youve made it through an incredibley difficult thing with your recent surgery, something that has left others drooling in a wheelchair, crapping themselves whether they were aware of it or not, or worse, theyre dead, down for the dirt nap. Youre alive, you can carry on coherent conversations( for the most part
) Your kids still have a dad and you got a great chance at walking away from all of it realtively, if not completely, unscathed.
In other words dude, youre blessed. I survived cancer 2x when they told me to get my affairs in order, survived 9/11 and lost everything except my life( almost lost that several times that day) and I cant stop thanking God everday for the opportunity to remain above ground and you know what? Its made me a better person.
It allowed me to see what was really important and what was really trivial BS... Ya think Im an asshole now? you should have seen me before all of that LOL!!!!
Take some time to think about how fortunate you are and how youve been blessed and maybe, just maybe, some of the stuff that you engage in or gets you worked up might not really be worth it at all.
Personally , I think its alot easier to get along than it is to be adversarial or confrontational and just let things slide like rain off of a freshly waxed hood...
Youve been through things that most people will never know about ; use it as a lesson and a barometer... Im not going to pretend to know what you went through but I have a good idea and I know what it did for me..
be well and take care of yourself Mike, Think about the things that really matter in life, maybe it will give you some much needed perspective...
just my .02
