If you can't get thrash tones out of a MKIII you are a complete faggot. Seriously.

Wow this is the THIRD time I said it in this thread.... I get GREAT tones from my mark III, I'm super happy with its tone, not complaining about that AT ALL. I just want an amp with 2 channels WITH SEPERATE EQS capable of high gain with a boost. I want one channel for rhythm and one for lead, both high gain. It's really only for live purposes. I dont need a clean.
Again I LOVE THE TONE OF THE MARK III!!!11!! ITS THE BROTALZZ!!!11 I NEED AN AMP WITH 2 HIGH GAIN CHANNELS WITH SEPEREATE EQS THE MARK ONLY HAS ONE FOR LIVE PURPOSES. PLEASE I DON'T NEED ANYONE ELSE TELLING ME IF I CAN'T GET THRASH TONES WITH THE MARK THEN I DONT KNOW WHT IM DOING ETC..... I CAN GET GREAT THRASH TONES WITH IT.
I'm actually recording my band demo with it this sunday, I'll even put up clips.
Can we please just help me with my questions about the 6506+?
sarcasm mode off thank you

IMHO you'll have the same problem with a 6505+ as you do with the MkIII--either a great rhythm or great lead tone. Usually what separates the two in my limited experience is the mids and treble. With a good EQ in the loop, you can dial in or out the frequencies you need. Kinda like having a third channel.
You could also try a BB Preamp for your leads; it has a Bass and Treble control, a SHITLOAD of boost and gain, and is very warm and smooth if you set it that way. You could dial in a cutting thrashy rhythm tone, kick in the BB with the treble rolled off, bass up a tad, and the volume cranked and you'd have instant gratuitous sustain The best part is that it's so transparent, it sounds like an extra tube gain stage in your amp.
Of course, I just got mine, but so far I'm amazed at all the different tones it can get... almost all of them good
