FWIW - as an independent observer, I now find Rig-Talk to be going down the shitter. I used to think it was one of the coolest forums on the net, and I truly respect the no banning approach. But let's face it, trolls lurk amongst us and they are ruining a good thing for everyone.

MikeV, CarlF, J666... aren't contributing much these days but arguments and juvenile bullshit. Suspend them at least.

I don't know that banning anyone is as good as just ignoring the guys that can't seem to behave without DRAMA...
 
If it were up to me Randy, I would do exactly that. I think Chris might be re-thinking the policy here. He has been MORE than fair to everybody here. But the advanatges of having such a laid back person like Chris running things is starting to only benifit the ones that nobody wants here, and driving the good, VALUED members like yourself away.

I really love this place and am proud to be a part of it. I thank Chris for asking me to be a mod way back when he and mitch were forming this board. For the most part, it is the best board on the internet (IMO). But a couple people can really screw a good thing up pretty quick.

Have faith my friend. I believe things will improve.
 
banning is definately better. They're too scared to for some reason. When they were banned before, they never visited because I made it too much of a pain for 'em when they did.

2 of the guys you mention constantly talk down everyone here and state how worthless this place is, yet they keep coming back. Apparently you can be over 50 and still be a drama bitch. :confused:
 
what exactly did i do that hasn't already been done? some of the old hcaf'ers around here have seen waaaay worse than anything i've done...except maybe the fab war but that was totally justified and i haven't been to hcaf since.

this is the third time i've went the rounds with these 2 jerkoffs. why? a) it's fun. b) i don't like them so i'm not gonna sit and take it when they start fukken with everybody on the board. they start shit, i'll start back, end of story.

you want me suspended or banned cuz of that, then fine. whatever. but i'm gonna do what i do and that's that.

notice, it's only these 2 fuks that i get into it with and i've rarely been on topic (as far as gear discussion goes)...i've got my rig down and i dig it, don't have enough money for g.a.s. and don't have too many questions to ask (when i do ask for help tho, i get it quite quick and am thankful for it)...i come here to fuk around and talk to some of the people that bailed from hcaf...and yes, i do take in alot of the knowledge that flows thru here too.

anyways...do what you do. i won't complain about it.

I agree Ban the shit out of them, they suck and have proven they CAN NOT be trusted time and time again.....

as far as J666 is concerned I have no problems with him whatsoever. It's actually him that prompted and inspired the timely demise of "Gunslinger" at HC... :lol:

But the actions of Mike V and Carl have been proven too many times to be detrimental this place....BY FAR THE BEST FORUM ON THE NET.

I have expressed mine and Brent and Joels gratitude to Chris for this place and our respective forums he has allowed us to have, and it's AWESOME to be part of such a great community of musicians and manufacturers.

PLEASE CHRIS DO NOT LET THESE 2 FUCKS RUIN IT FOR ALL OF US. :D

Yea, I think there needs to be some cleansing, judging from a couple of posts on this thread alone. :thumbsdown:

The fact is, the more people that sign up, the more BS is gonna pop up like HC....Unless the administrators take action and let it be known they won't put up with it. And I agree that there should not be any double standards. That's bullshit.

Let's keep this place fair and bullshit free as possible, please. If anyone wants to carry on, maybe they should make a seperate section and name it 'Flame Wars' so the people who just want to find info and pleasant talk can come here and enjoy it.

I agree with Randy 100%. IMO, there should be a FEW cardinal rules posted that are very clear and not open to interpretation. There has to be a line drawn somewhere. We all have our quirks, but some behavior shouldn't be tolerated.
 
The problem is that some think that it is their right to post here but that is not the case.

Another is that since this is a small forum poster wise people just get on other's nerves and since we are not face to face they just do not have that common sense not to post if they have nothing nice to say. It is funny how the guys that never hang with anyone here have the biggest mouths.

The hammer of banning must be brought out now and then, it is the people like Randy that should make Chris worry about the state of the forum.
