I played one at NAMM and I wasn't really thrilled with it. I really hated to say this because I have heard great clips form it but the amp did nothing for me and they are out of there fucking mind with the price.
All the best

I have wanted to play one bad, but I did see soilwork use them last week and wasn't too impressed how they sounded....

All the clips I've heard always led me to believe that if there was a genre of music the M60/90 isn't suited for that would be it; There is a common quality I hear in the clips that just doesn't seem like it would be pleasing to do that stuff. Some of the best lead clips I've heard were on an M90 though.

I talked at the fair to a guy who had a blown one - he had some pics too (from the PCBs, to find out why).

I liked its sound at the booth, but (some of) those pics . . . :scared:

To be fair: it could have been a "monday model". :)

Man, you're not kidding! I'm not much of a dirt pedal guy, but I'd be all over that

Well I traded a shit load of gear to get the M60 and matching cab...soooo I hope I love the hell out of this amp. It's not hear yet and I may be quite the fool. Gainfreaks opinion scares me a little because he not only can play he actually tried the amp out. To each his own though.

Hahaha!! Don't be scared. After reading Steve Sniders post about the amp, Im pretty sure that I did not get the full tour of the amp at NAMM. At NAMM they didnt show me the footswitch with the variable gain at all and the amp with the gain on 10 was like playing my amp with gain on 2, so methinks that I did not get a fair demo of the amp. Had Steve not chimed in, I would not have questioned my experiance of amp! I will defiintely try it again.......But I still think that they are out of there minds with the price lol :D

I've had the M60, M90, and 3100. They definately have their own sound going on, and a little goes on a long way on the EQ's of the Elmwoods. You can completely change the tone and feel of the amp with just the mid control. Very cool amps.

You would believe that guy ????????

When Carl post's a review or youtube clip of it - then you're o.k., but not until then

I really love mine, but I gotta get rid of it to pay for some stupid property tax increases due soon. The boost function as well as the footswitchable master volume are freaken awesome. I also am not even able to use it to it's potential, I have been using it "Barely On"  But I cranked it yesterday when I got home from work early for the first time in months and it shook the house

Like Ned Flanders said to his family about using peanut butter on white bread..."I'll steer clear of that hornet's nest altogether!"

I just got an M90 on Tuesday, and so far I think its an absolute kick ass amp. It was a like-new but used amp and I got it for the lowest price I've seen them go for.

Of course I'm in my honeymoon period with it, but damn, its a pretty serious amp. Its almost like 4 channels in that you can have 4 completely different (and remote switchable) gain tones, but only two EQ settings, obviously.

I am surprised more of the "brutal" distortion guys aren't all over these things by now. Its got a TON a gain...and its fun as hell to play in that its "easy" to play since its got a ton of sustain, but it has a clarity to it that some other "forgiving" amps tend to smear up. People who demo it need to know that it has both a gain and drive knob on channel two, so if the gain is way low, but the drive is up, its not going to sound like you'd think for a high gainer. But get the gain around 12:00 - 1:00 and the drive like 2:00, and shit, you've got real sustain and distortion going on.

It also has global "edge" and "fat" knobs. Edge is the presence type control, while the fat adds in different flavors of low end and low-midrange. As such, there are alot of tones to find here, well beyond alot of amps that are voiced either in the high or lower midrange spectrum (e.g. Mesa vs. Bogner).

Two remote switchable master volumes are available, so that is ultra cool for live use. The FX loop isn't switchable, but it can operate either as series or parallel.

So far so good!!!
