- Diezel Einstein 100-watter with two stock Ruby EL34's and two SED 6L6's

Hi sg thump, did you also recorded the einstein tours with the el34-6l6 mix? I'm very interrested in the einstein, but coming from a mesa background i'm curious how they will sound with all 6l6 tubes...

Little bit outdated, but this is the meat of it. However, I didn't dig the Diezel cabs, so they had to go. Everything else though is intact.

Kick ass amp man - but is that an Ed Roman Quicksilver guitar :?

Yep! And it kicks major ass. You may not like him, but his luthiers make absolutely awesome guitars.

I wanted a PRS on steroids, and this of just that. Complete custom made all Koa body, ebony board, Ivory truss rod cover, mother of pearl lightning bolts and custom SD body mounted pups for maximum tone and sustain, and hip shot tremolo with Spertzel pegs. The thing plays so easy and the tone is awesome, if I may say so myself. :D

BTW, never dealt with Ed. I only dealt with the luthier, and he was very pleasing

The setup.

Please tell me the problems with the Diezel cabs.

Thanks,

Peter

Not really a problem so much as I just preferred the sound of the Mesa cabs more-so than the Diezel cabs. And it was a little dissapointing because I was very excited when I got the chance to obtain those cabs, but they just didn't have the oomph and the low end chunk that the Mesa cabs had. I reall y wanted to keep the Diezel cabs, but their tonal properties were just not what i was looking for unfortunately. The front loaded one was closer to what I like, but just not there.
