Using cheap puter speakers......

I liked 2, I think I am hearing some better upper mids with that pedal.

Thanks for voting. ;)

Not much difference, but I thought No 1 had a bit more clarity.

Pedal 1 had more treble, but not in a harsh way. They both sound great to me! What are the pedals and what amp are you using?

Chris
Amp is a Peters Dual Channel (Gryphon channel)

#1 is this reissue costs $200

#2 is this mid 80's release, can be had on ebay for around $50

I think I like the extra gain and the added hair from the Metal Screamer, palm mutes seem a little tighter...plus it doesn't roll off bass as much as the TS808.

The 808 is a little clearer though, probably because it has less gain.

You can rip those apart and sell those vintage chips for 50$ each. It should have two or three ;)

I still own a similar one from the 80s - it rocks harder :D

Is it the green one with 5 knobs on it? I hear that one has more of those chips in it. :D

man I feel old when stuff I bought new is now being called vintage.

Isn't that crazy? It blows my mind that people are talking about 'vintage' JCM800's now....

Yup, thats the one.

I liked pedal #1 more. Both sound killer but #1 is a bit smoother, fuller and less harsh so it gets my vote.

I like clip 1 better.
Of course you would. :D

I'm gonna keep it...I do like both though...the Metal Screamer makes shredding easier for some reason.

#1 is the winner...I'll give her a good home. :) ...and I have a pretty decent backup pedal in case it fails.
