Pedal switcher users: what are you using?

Hi. I'm looking to get away from the tap dancing and get into a pedal switcher. It must support selection of different effects in the effects loop of the amp.

I'm looking for some suggestions, hopefully from people who have experience doing this.

I am thinking about: OneControl Crocodile tail loop, Carl Martin Octa Switcher (probably wouldn't work for me) or waiting for the Boss ES8 (but I'm not sure if that will support the amp effects loop)

My requirements are:

Channel switching on Friedman BE100 (using 2 loops and mono to stereo adapter to achieve this is fine with me)

Signal chain:
Guitar -> Wah -> Fuzz -> Amp Input > BE100 input

Effects send -> Chorus -> Delay -> Effects Return

Configurations I need:
---------------------------

CleanChannel + Chorus
CleanChannel + Chorus + Delay
CleanChannel + Fuzz
CleanChannel + Fuzz + Chorus + Delay

BE Channel + Delay
BE Channel + Chorus + Delay

HBE Channel + Delay
HBE CHannel + Chorus + Delay
 
The cheapest solution I was able to find was this http://www.joyoaudio.com/en/product/show_204.html. It's the Joyo PXL-Live, 8 loops total, 4 in front, 4 in fx loop. Can also do midi CC sends to control my TC X4 delay. Also has 2 relays to control channel switching (you'll need a TRS breakout cable to split to 2 TS cables). I'm using it with my BE100 and it's working great. For what this pedal has the price is really low, I think I paid $180 for it shipped and new. The other alternatives are too damn expensive for a switching solution and don't even have this many features.

I haven't A/B it enough to see if it's sucking any tone but so far it's decent enough where I didn't care to check. Only issue I have with it is I haven't found a way to use a preset and then add or remove effects without having to use a new preset.

Looks like it will use up 2 of the 8 loops to do channel switching & mode selection. So you are really only left with 6 loops.

EDIT: oops it looks like it has 9 loops, so you're left with 7. Not bad but I would try out the Joyo :thumbsup:
 
A local store has a GEC9. I'm going to give it a try. I'll post back here when I get it and test it out.
 
The way I have it set is the following:

Wah > Joyo > Front (loop 1-4) > Amp > Fx loop > Joyo (loop 5-8)

Relay switching 1 for clean/dirty , switch 2 for BE/HBE mode select

Front:
Loop 1: Compressor
Loop 2: Boost (Maxon OD-9)
Loop 3: Phase 90
Loop 4: EVH Flanger

FX Loop:
Loop 5: MXR Graphic 10 band EQ
Loop 6: El Capistan Delay/TC Flashback X4
Loop 7: TC Hall of Fame
Loop 8: TC Chorus

It looks like it should be more than capable to do what you need it to since you don't have that many FX.
 
I use the One Control and it does everything perfectly and has zero tone suck which was huge for me.
 
Check out Disaster Area. I have a DPC-8EZ and use the Smart Switch for Channel Switching. Everything talks to each other for presets via MIDI. I am very happy with it plus Matthew has the best customer service!
 
I've been looking for a bypass looper too. The Moen GEC9 has the most bang for buck but the new Boss ES-8 looks amazing. From the brief overview I saw, it looks like they addressed a lot of the common shortcomings of other loopers.

Wow the Boss ES-8 looks nice! Too bad the price is at $700. At that price point it seems easier to just ditching all my pedals and get some sort of multifx unit and just running 4CM. Hoping the new AxeFX FX8 works great in 4CM.
 
I think the Moen GEC9 is waiting for me at home today. Will set it up tonight.. hope I have enough cables.
 
Well, the Moen GEC9 came in. Works great!

Couldn't find a cheap adapter for the Footswitch cable so I had to buy a mono -> Stereo cable. The blue and red wrapped cables are the mono ends with the other end running to the BE100 footswitch input on the amp.

I don't notice any tone suck. I did hear some popping noise first few times I changed from clean to dirty on the amp but it is not something I notice when playing in a mix. (was playing along to some mp3s over the PA.. .didn't notice it.

I use a Musicomlab EFX MKIII+ which makes life so much simpler.
