New ESP models

Anyone digging the new prices?
It's unreal for Indonesian made guitars. I have an E-II coming that I found for $1400 in mint condition. I guess I better hold onto it for life. I can see them moving the E-II's up to the $3500+ range soon.

I get it but I don't. I got my Chubtone, hand crafted to my specs by my buddy in this range. They look cool though and can't deny that.

I have a couple Edwards and have loved them so much I will likely never buy anything but an ESP guitar again. I scrolled through like 8 pages of guitars out of like 40 pages and already had my eyes on half a dozen sick axes I can't afford, lol. Man they have some great looking guitars. Those singlecuts! And ESP's take on the SG shape just beats Gibsons ass IMO. Long live ESP!

Digging this sparrowhawk, among many others. It's like 1500, which is manageable for a working musician.

I am definitely digging the Desert Eagle, but wish it was an actual ESP Custom Shop guitar.

They are going to have one.. it will be 6k+ . I kind of wish they just did another LTD run of kamikaze with ebony board. I find the " desert" theme a bit drab.

I think most of the higher end LTDs will be South Korea. I would think/hope.

I dig the '87 Horizon Custom. Killer pick-up combo.
That one piqued my interest as well, but.... but...
as I had a not-so-great experience with Duncan Hot Rails BRIDGE models in the middle- and neck positions of my Kramer SM-1, I wonder if the LTD '87 Horizon Custom uses a Hot Rails neck or bridge pickup in its neck position.
DC Rating would be quite different (10k vs. 16.6k).
But yeah, I'm still looking for a H-S Super Strat...my holy grail being a 90's Hamer Californian Elite in Aztec Gold... although not an arched top.

Would love to but nearly $1800 for an LTD is not happening. And i already got a ton of Alder body guitars.
Looks like crack cocaine finally made it to Japan.
Yeah but compared to a lot of similar priced guitars I'll still take the ESP. I never buy brand new anyways because it's like throwing away cash and I don't have that kind of moolah. The only downer I'm noticing on a lot of the models is the thin-U shape neck. I definitely prefer a little beef. Not a baseball bat but not a toothpick. Admittedly I haven't tried a thin-U shape so I guess I'd have to have one in my paws first.

Newer LTDs are pretty nice. I have some purple sparkly KH602s that look really nice and set up with low action without any issue. The frets are very level. One of them had a nut shelf that was too high but that was easy fix. The necks feel like my Kiso-built MII. The frets aren't as tall or smooth as the new ESPs with Jescars but feel more like the older ESPs with Sanko frets.

I wish the LTD prices were lower but I wish ESP prices were lower too. All in all, for what you get, I feel like LTDs are still a good buy. And FWIW my son thinks the KH602s look cooler than any of my "real" ESPs.

I checked a few times and would be all over an EC1000T in gloss black and passive pickups, 22 frets would be better but they don’t make it. It’s either active pickups, Evertune bridges and 24 frets. Looks like I’ll have to find an older Greco or an Edwards to scratch that itch.

They used to have one a number of years ago with Dimarzio 36ths but yea I don't remember there being too much recently, outside of 1 or 2 in the EII series.

I think I should hold on to my Jeff Hanneman JH-600EC. It has all the specs I could want and is a really solid guitar made in South Korea. I could definitely gig it as well without worrying that it might get a ding or too.

Also set as far as ESPs go with my RZK-II. That guitar is superlative.

If anything, I wish I had held on to my FR-27. Those are only bound to go up in value.

The Thin U is not a toothpick, IME.

But it also depends on how thick you like your necks. It's around Gison 60's or Fender Modern C, which I guess is a toothpick if you like the Gibson 58 or whatever neck profile. But there are plenty necks which are way thinner than that. It's certainly not a Wizard neck either.

It's say it's middle-of-the-road leaning towards thin.
