Chinese Tyler JTG MK1 in the house…

So I got my Chinese Tyler SE-HD or as it's called JTG MK1.

I posted this over at TOP but figured someone might wanna know...

It is what it should be?.. a damn Tyler.
Import notwithstanding it does exactly what one expects. A Strat with a huge ass.
Not like others (to quote my friend Matte H.) tgat sound like the top only (no sides or back).

It has the same radius as the US ones, and the edges are more like the US model than the Japanese.

My point of comparison with boost off Landau Coma (and I like those) I'd take this any day over the Coma.
Compared to the Mexi Charvels, not even a contest.
Plus it came set-up so I didn't have to do FA. Shaky well dialed in for brand new after using travelled 5000 miles

As my drummer said, we gotta write a new tune just for this.

I can't wait to see it's sister, Jimburst Mongoose I'm waiting for.

As for transparency, I go back with Tyler decades. And Rich Renken had me give input on alit of things he worked on..

I'm sure someone is still gonna say I'm a shill.
Nevertheless, I'd friggin buy 2 of those then any 3600 bucks boutique thing.

And it's my fave lead sound, I will dig out the spec sheet after I'm done punishing it. Only got 5 hours straight on it :)

Plus I need to really A/B it to the US and Japan model. But the first impression is that it has the phat vibe like it's spensive bro more than it's neighbor.

Definitely a sign of a great new guitar day. Congrats Ed. Maybe a headstock close up when you get a chance? The paint/logo looks unique to the chinese line perhaps?

The paint scheme on that looks amazing. Some of your order sheets are confusing me but I dig the guitar and no I do not think you are a shill I think you are a real brother sharing your sweet new axe with me. I love JAMES TYLER guitars and the chinese line is one I might actually be able to afford one day, just not today, lol.

Can you get nice JImi/Stevie tones on it?

Did they stop making the Japanese line? I had one of those and it was a great guitar
 
Curious about these. The Japanese models had some fairly serious duds. I would like to try one. I like Tyler guitars.
 
Congrats OP, the faded color looks amazing and I like the headstock too and think they look dope.

I wouldn't call you a shill...but when you are on basically every guitar message board copying and pasting the same review word for word....it sure does look like it. But glad you enoy the guitar.
 
How much does that go for? Enquiring minds would like to know….
