I have the amp but not the guitar. Maestro GA-2RVT and a 65 Jag in lake placid blue. The amp is much better than the guitar was, lol.

Hey 1 out of 2 ain’t bad!

Some of the worst stories for me are when the best of the best guitar players out there wish they still had their first guitar. For some reason that just makes me inexplicably sad for them.

I am reluctantly sentimental about expensive gifted items but truly I'd rather just be able to sell them cause I'm a utilitarian 100 percent.

I think I keep an amp 1-2 years usually til i play something that beats it. Although, If it is a Larry that beats mine, that is ok. I am not doing that bullshit.

Yea ditto, I’d love to try a Larry one day, but with the unavailability and general pricing in the used market, no thanks

For me, so far, the wizards I currently own have been great. So my band would probably be an 80s hair metal style group called

BedWizzer

My very first guitar was a Vista Les Paul copy that I rented for three months after earning $ as a caddy / summer job at a golf course.

My parents refused to let me play from age 4 until I earned enough money to rent something.

The next person to rent that guitar broke it on his fireplace in a tantrum. By then I was working at the guitar store. it was pretty disappointing to see it come in all busted up.

Oh well, I made up for it overtime by building something I designed from scratch, & I would have never kept that vista.
