2001 Gibson 1957 Reissue Les Paul Custom, Players Condition, Aged, Reliced from actually playing the guitar. The guitar has the standard 57 Reissue Mahogany Neck with real Ebony fretboard, Mahogany Solid Body and Top. Lots of dings, marks, scratches and finish haze. Neck finish has been removed, sanded down and refinished with low gloss poly, then lightly sanded for a non sticky, smooth slippery feel. The neck thickness now measures .84 at fret 1 and .98 at 12. The frets look and feel great with zero fret wear. There are a few marks on the fretboard, I think from polishing the frets. The long tenor neck has No breaks or repairs, it plays Great with No dead stops and low action. Truss rod works fine. Some spots of polish through and lacquer touch up on back of headstock. Most of the aged or yellowed lacquer was removed from the binding on the neck, it's now white. Pickups are Gibson 490R and 498T. I do not have the original pickups. Strap buttons have been replaced with oversized buttons, Original ones included. The certificate or any documents were not included when I purchased the guitar so they are not included. The guitar weighs 8.4 lbs on my bathroom scale.
All of the above are purely cosmetic and doesn't effect the overall functionality playability or structural integrity of the guitar. All the above was done before I bought the guitar.
The guitar has never left my smoke and pet free home since purchasing it.
I upgraded the boat anchor Grover Tuners with smaller better Gotoh sgs510z tuners and Tone Ninja Ebony wood buttons, much lighter and they stay in tuner better. Original Grovers are included and the gold Gotoh buttons. I also upgraded the stop tail studs with Locking TonePros for better sustain. Original studs included.
The guitar Plays and sounds Great!
