Love This Seemingly Unpopular Amp Armored Amplification Sabot V3

I've loved this amp since I got it. Very modern sounding and tight!

Threw in some blue bottle EL34 power tubes and fired it up straight in:

Yeah, too bad they stopped making them.

The version Kyle demoed I believe is prior to the V3. The V3 had the option of adding an internal extra tube. This changed the impedance of the input and drastically changed how it sounded.
 
always liked what ive heard from these, one was actually for sale near me but i just have too much other stuff

I really don't like the amp without the extra gain stage or boosted. Possibly an input impedance issue as the amp has a 500k input vs 1 meg with the gain stage active. Adding a boost pedal sounds great with the extra stage off. Personally, wouldn't use the amp without the extra stage boosted or not.
