Is there a big difference between a Warmoth strat body and a Musikraft start body?

Need to purchase a strat type body for a project and I’m between Warmoth and Musikraft. Which one you think is best?

They are comparable however after building a few with both, my favorites are all Warmoth.

And even tho you asked about bodies I’m basing my comment on necks. I’ve had some fret sprout issues with MusiKraft but zero problems with Warmoth.

Warmoth would be cheaper but wonder if the difference between them and Musikraft is big. I know the Musikraft strat bodies have the correct Charvel body radius.

Warmoth is more like 70s Fender. They also don’t do the 2.250 neck pocket like Charvel/Jackson. They only do 2 3/16.

My neck for this project is 2 3/16, so that should work.

Both make very high quality stuff. I agree completely with previous posts - Musikraft is the only game if you need a 2-1/4" Neck Pocket. Also, Musikraft offers a true 'Dinky' body - which isn't quite the same as Warmoth's 'Soloist' offering. I am partial to the true 'Charvel' shape rear control cavity that Musikraft offers as opposed to the big 'Kidney' rear control cavity on Warmoth bodies. Musikraft also offers Northern Hard Ash which Warmoth does not.

That said, I do have 3 Warmoth builds that are just really sensational guitars. I love the Contoured Heel and the '.720 Mod' that Warmoth offers - which drops the neck deeper into the neck pocket. Can't go wrong with either offering - kind of boils down to which body wood you need and which options you prefer.
