Ok, the Donner Noise Gate is legit!

I have a Revv G8 Noise Gate on my pedalboard and was reading reviews about the Donner Noise Gate and figured I'd give it a whirl. I knew regardless, I could have a second Noise Gate for my man cave pedalboard that stays at home.

So far I'm impressed! For less than $40, I got a smaller footprint Noise Gate with included stickers and actually works great. I am.using it after my boost pedals so obviously mileage will vary depending on what you plan on using it for. I'm definitely going to put this on my gig board and free up space. The hard and soft settings work too. I barely had to have it up with and tamed the Noise. Still going to mess around more with it but so far it kicks ass!

I have a Mooer Graphic G 5-band eq and Noise Killer gate, inexpensive, small and both work great. Had them for a few years now I think. I have better EQs, and don't need a noise gate much these days as I don't use high gain often.

Way cool! I have a Revv G8 and love it, but I needed a simple gate at home,
so I bought the Donner, and I'm damned Impressed.
Nice gate for such a low price

I had two of their Soph Gate pedals. I thought they were better than my GupTech Guul for everything but getting super tight metal sounds. I very often struggle with the Guul to get it to sound right on lower to mid gain sounds. It's fine if I can tweak it between parts, but if I want to go from clean to crunch to high gain, it's not happening.

Are you using the "key" input ? I had a similar issue until I used the input on the pedal.

Yes, I have it hooked up with the key. The problem is that I use a compressor for cleans and low gain. If I put it before, the gate cuts too early and kills sustain. If I put it after, I have to set the knob lower, which isn't quick enough when I kick in lots of gain.
