I was just thinking the same thing. He should’ve been going to Fender to get some cosmetically customized twins.Dude his tones were all fender on the one album he’s known for .
Odd pairing with those colors
Pretty sure it was stolen as well.Didn't Steve Jones record the record with a Twin? I love the original album and his tone.
Beast mode was just an emulation of a graphic EQ in a frown shape, pushing the input as that was what King used, to get more gain.It had "beast mode" which was diode clipping i believe.
KK use EMG's so im sure that worked good.
Ya . Why not ?I was just thinking the same thing. He should’ve been going to Fender to get some cosmetically customized twins.
Me too. I know the Pistols weren’t considered crazy tone-chasers or anything—at least not to my knowledge—but I think those records sound great.Didn't Steve Jones record the record with a Twin? I love the original album and his tone.
Oh you have a Kitchen Sink JMP from 2011 yourself ?A lot would argue that Friedman isn't doing it right either. His mods are soft sounding and polished. He's lost the rude that people want in the amp. I think it's a no brainer to do a hot rodded series but Marshall feels they have it covered with the JCM900's, the Jubilee's, the JVM and the DSL. It is only a specific bunch of nerds that want a " Jose Master" or half a tube gain stage added.
It was videos of the Marshalls he had modded that got me really excited for his work as they all sounded like extensions of the amp, keeping how raw they were. When he released a line of amps, I still remember the disappointment in them, not seeming to capture that in anyway, it really made me feel like an idiot that I didn’t follow through in getting a kitchen sink done to a Marshall before he stopped doing it.Oh you have a Kitchen Sink JMP from 2011 yourself ?
Your ridiculas comment doesn't apply to my amp at all.
2011 all he did was mods. He had no amp line.
He built this amp to my specifications and it rules the world.
Ive not hear any of your complaints. Maybe get out of the house more.
Dave's JMP mods still retained the base JMP tone just enhanced. It was videos of the Marshalls he had modded that got me really excited for his work as they all sounded like extensions of the amp, keeping how raw they were. Not unlike a Soldano. I would rather have a Soldano modded Marshall than a SLO.

Ask 100 people about the same amp and you'll get 100 different answers.
David Friedman did exactly what he said he would do at the very same time Mark Scammeron was swiping amps and making them dissapper by the dozen.
Regards.
And a Quickrod will still smoke itDave's JMP mods still retained the base JMP tone just enhanced.
Everybody else's mods made a JMP sound like a 5150 Recto.
And yes it has "the feel". Its fun to play. Inspiring.
Sadly this amp will outlive me as father time is ticking ----
ya you're right maybe i was a little pissy wit ya. You're entitled to your opine.Touchy fella aren't ya? Maybe you need to get out of the house more because you clearly don't know how conversation and observations are made between people.
Steve recorded Never Mind the Bollocks with a Fender Twin, but live it's all Marshall and he sounds like the wrath of God.
His right hand and blazing Marshalls get a sound a lot of us would kill for, me included.
Raceher4u has the prototypeToo bad that this version of the Krank Kerry King amp never went into production:
