So about 6 weeks ago I found one of my grail amps on Reverb/Craigslist out of LA ~1500 miles away. I spoke with the owner whom I found out we know through RT ( I’ll let that member chime in if they want). Anyway the deal was made and oddly another RT member @PurityS.L.G picked it up for me and shipped etc. Yet again making the gear world that much smaller. Anyway this amp kicks ass. I am not a recording artist BUT I made a recording of this through some older gear that I have (not a shitty phone). Please tolerate my recording skills. This whole event has finally inspired me to update and learn the new millennium recording world. Below is the YouTube link. And below are pics of the Morin interior. Btw I have discussed the amp with Mike Morin himself and the guy who actually had it modded originally (ironically his name is Mike). He had a bunch of morin modded stuff. Also of note, @Soldaners tipped me off on the original owner (after the fact) when he posted his recent acquisition. The amplifier is a beast. Not even begun to learn the power of this amp.
Also : btw if you watch the video you might recognize one of our members as well from Nashville. Sorry for my crazy images that I have collected throughout the years.

Glad the amp went to a good home, Andy! I think you did a good job of capturing the tone. What speakers did you use?

Thanks. The 1983 Marshall with GT12-65s Sounds phenomenal. A bit more mellow than my V30s.

Glad you’re enjoying dude. I sure enjoyed my brief time with it. Thing is a monster especially boosted.

So happy to see another Morin modded Marshall get all the love! As soon as you sent me the pic of it, I knew right away both of our Morin mods came from the same original owner 🤘🏼 Quite a small world! Mike (original owner) is really a nice guy, I still keep in touch with him and we talk shop often. I feel like a lot of people don’t realize that Morin’s amps & mods are responsible for some of the most iconic guitar sounds in rock & metal over the last 30 or so years. I wish someone could talk Morin into modding again haha.
