Anybody else hate their job?

I was in a similar situation not too long ago—hated my job, and every day felt like a grind. It got to the point where I just couldn't take it anymore and started thinking about what else I could do. I began looking into other careers, just to see if there was something out there that would make me feel more fulfilled.

I always referred my job to picking fly shit out of a sardine can with boxing gloves on.

I'm a retired investor.

I split my time between playing guitar and playing video games.

Could be worse. You could be working for a porta-potty cleaning service. You're just gonna be catching shit all day.

Agree or disagree the world is breaking under its own weight. Humanity is getting wise to the scam that is the daily grind.
“Where there is no vision the people go unrestrained.” Proverbs 28:18… and I’m the most ardent bible non-fan!

I do believe work is good for people and society as a whole. To have purpose and contribute to society.

A capitalist, merit based society has what made this country great.

It's the corruption of our monetary system that has brought so much destruction to our society.

If we were to return to constitutional money, most of the problems this world is now dealing with, would disappear immediately.

Lemme know how that works out for you.

It hasn’t and never will but there are certain expressions that I personally find to be both glaring and painfully true, if not completely obvious with a little thought.

I went through Law Enforcement and Corrections Training when I was in my 20's. After being done, I was a commissioned officer and had to work for free for the department that sponsered/commissioned me for the schooling. First experience? A pedophile. One who raped all 3 of his daughters. As one got older, he moved on to the next young one. Then the next. It made me sick to my stomach, and full of rage. I had a 9mm, side handle baton, and hell, even a Maglight flashlight I was ready to go to town on him with. That day, I was out. I KNEW I'd hurt somebody, eventually. So, I became a hydraulic mechanic, then moved into Sales. Been there since. I've come to find that I just am not a people person either. I hate people today.. Customers whine, everybody's so entitled, and co-workers are drama queens, back stabbers, woke idiots and their idea of disagreeing with your political views is to report you to HR. Can't even go to my boss, or even to me. To me, that's just vengeful.
Your LE situation crosses my mind when seeing news reports of “police *cruelty*”. How much has that officer dealt with over the years involving the most vile people on earth and after all their efforts, see them walk again and again. No way could I handle that job. I commend you for sticking with it as long as you did.

Shitiest job? Watch Platoon (movie) and note the scene where they’re on toilet detail, pulling tubs of shit and kerosene out in the open and burning it. Everything seemed easy after that job.
