Just plugged into one for the first time and god damn. Thing sounds fantastic. Lot of personality, nothing complicated about it. Just rips.

Love the RMC wahs for cleaner /light gain tones but for rockin out with a gained up amp, this thing is the ticket. Definitely taking to hear it in a live mix this weekend

Knowing your style, pretty confident you’d dig it. Like I said, for a gained up amp, it is a killer wah sound with a lot of personality

I have 3 of them lol, the original, dinosaur and orca. Call me crazy but I hear a subtle difference between them. I gravitate to the dinosaur version.

…and go ahead and flame me but the purple Hammett wah is also killer sounding!

I don’t doubt it but I bet any differences are from individual unit variance as opposed to anything intentionally related to the cosmetic design. But I could be totally wrong on that. Just pulled the trigger on a FF so will compare the two for sure

Mine is the original hammered copper one... though it was modded by previous owner for true bypass and a LED for on/off. I do kind of want the Orca one too.

Would be cool if these were TB stock but maybe it was affecting the way sound? I’ve got it in a loop so not worried about it but would be nice. LED would be nice too

Nice. I have a true bypass kit lying around meant for one of these just haven’t had time to do it. There def is tone suck when placed in front.

Yeah I'm not typically a fan of the buffers they use in the regular Crybaby's, so this being modded worked out well. I thought about looping the one I had 15 years ago, but I'm lazy and don't want to hit one button, let alone two. Haha.

I've tried a lot of wahs and like this one alot, it's been on my board forever. It's just voices right for my tastes. I like his Motor City pick, the Afwayu and his signature Friedman too.

It has nothing to do at all about trying to cop his sound. It's something about what he likes tone wise just jives with what I like for some reason.

The cool thing about having a wah in a TB loop is you can just leave the wah on. That’s how I do it at least.

I don’t know anything “official” but a friend of mine met JC recently at a Gibson meet and greet. Jerry mentioned that he’s working on a new amp with a different company. Will probably be years before we see it but I’m gassing already

Oh gosh! I'll have to start saving now lol.

I've tried to unseat my Friedman JJ as my main amp many times over the last 9 years. I just can't do it. I have other amps, but I will never get rid of the JJ.
