an Amp at my cabin

So I know the answer is basically "No" but thought I'd get some opinions. I took a practice amp and MIM Strat to my cabin last Winter for fun. That's a Peavey Vyvpyr tube 60 combo. I did not leave them there. I'd like to. I can obviously carry the guitar back and forth - don't really want to leave it there permanently mainly due to the humidity. PS: This is a rough hunting cabin, not a Glamping situation at all. Although I do have an electric heater and portable AC for when I am here. And DSL :D

What do?

It can get from 0 degrees to 120 degrees F. Several times a year there will be a stretch of low 20s. Weeks maybe. Then in the summer it could get up to 120 in here easy if it was all closed up.

Would the amp be OK? I hear moisture is good for speaker cones

Edit for the visual :D

Hot and cold won’t bother it but the moisture may be a concern, but not necessarily.
Has it been an issue for any other electrical items there in the past?

Great question @AynirarDan

No. Other electronics here, below, have had no problems in 7 years.

Electric furnace
Portable AC
DSL
Pumps
Microwave
Coffee pot
Fridge

OK....maybe I AM glamping

What part of the country? Looks so clear and flat out that door, so I know it’s not down here in southern appalachia!

I’d really only be worried about pests and moisture like everyone is saying. Moisture is more a problem in the spring and summer but some pests can be worse in the fall and winter when they’re looking for shelter. A mouse might find an open back combo to be a nice cozy place for a nest.

Nope. My drummer's locked studio is a sub-room inside his garage, and I don't even leave guitar picks there. Gear always has a tendency to sprout legs and walk away no matter where you leave it.

Brother, what is the purpose? It is hunting cabin, not guitar practice cabin, isn’t it? 😂
