I've waited a long time to get my Hands on the JP2C again. Best Part is: i got it for the Price at the time of ordering in February 2022. ;)
JP vs 2203 comes soon.
Signal Chain: ESP V-II Standard => JP2C => MF400B => Shure SM57


Just a Snapshot.


I made a little super low volume clip. The Amp opens up and sizzles when you turn up the volume. It's almost even more volume dependant, as far as the sound goes, as a 2203. 80s design. 🤷‍♂️


I left the random playing in the clip at the end of the Riff.Gentle Tape, Gentle Compression, Maximizer.Other than that no EQ, except for the Drums.

When I get home I’ll give it a listen. You normally have some of the heaviest clips on here so I’m definitely interested in how you get this thing sounding.
 
I got a JP2C summer of 2022. It turned out to be an amp I fell in love with vs an amp I bought to try and thought I would sell. The clean channel is nuts and I really mike the fact how close ch2 & 3 are. The feature set is tough to beat.

Ill listen to your clip through good speakers when I get home.

That's a mean lil Fokker. I got a Tip from xounlistedxox on YouTube to crank the presence. I did that and adjusted the other controls to compensate.
I highly recommend the JP2C. Guitar => Cable => Amp => Awesome :D
I posted a comparison with the 2203. See OP.
I might sell the 2203. I already thought that about the JP2C too. :D :uzi:😂
 
What pedal are you using with the Marshall?

I honestly think I like the 2203 + boost more. I’m kinda shocked myself saying that as I love my mark iii. There’s a just chainsaw aggression clarity in the Marshall that the JPCII doesn’t have.

That doesn’t mean either sound bad, both sound amazing and would get the job done. Thanks for the clips!

Deadweald Duality DX in Red Mode. It definitely sits better in the Mix with these settings. It made me wonder for a second or 2 if i should sell the JP :D BUT one could either just use a different mic position with these settings or change the settings like i did today. I had them both cranked (kinda) and i liked the JP2C (way) more.
 
Update bump. See above. I'm still trying to get warm with the amp...
