Picked up this Standard Series ESP Horizon on Monday. Sold off a LP Special that wasn’t getting any use and rolled the cash into this. I’ve always liked the look of the ESP Mii and Horizon, but I’m a sucker for a carved top so the Horizon edged it.
It came with the trem floating and tuned to D. I play in E and drop D, so I knew I had some adjustments to make. It’s my first time messing about with a Floyd and I’m impatient, so I fully expected to cock things up. However, by some miracle I got the guitar into E and the trem nicely balanced quite quickly the first night and a D Tuna installed with only minor fucking about the next night.
Guitar feels and plays great - will miss the LP Special, but it was just collecting dust and this one will get more use.
