Playing with new IRs

I broke down and ordered the JTM Impulse Response pack. Loaded a handful of them on my TwoNotes Captor X. So far so good. Working on getting tones together for my original band's first show in almost a year.

 
Sounds good dude! You'll have to post a vid of the show, it would be nice to hear how they sit live. I had an ir loader but never got to use it in a full band context

Have you tried Bogren Digitals IRDX? That thing is awesome. It gives the feeling of cabinet pushing air.

I have not. I used the Captor X from 2020 through 2022. We went full Kemper during 2023. I decided that I wanted to go back to a real amp this year, as I missed the feeling of moving air on stage. I do like using IRs to FOH, as it provides a more consistent tone from the PA. I will definitely check it out though.

I'm using the IRs of the EVH speaker, since that is what is loaded in my cab. But the V30 IRs are really nice. May use some of those for recording.

Yes, that is my old Splawn in the background. Wish I still had it. However, it had become very unstable, and Scott would not work on it due to its age. So, I sold it to a guy that loves to tinker on amps. Back to running an EVH 5153 now.

They are great. The Marshall cab is incredible, the mix IR 57+421 on the Marshall V30 is one of my go to’s always. They are all stellar for sure though.
