Yeah, I know but when people ask him, UAFX or any other Dumble owner to describe the sound, they don't ever actually describe it, they just say it's special or magical, was my point.
Even Mason from Vertex who has torn apart Dumbles can't describe the sound, instead he just says what cabs "would" or "wouldn't" be used with a Dumble. The sound isn't as elusive as people would tend to be believe but the character (how it reacts and interacts to pedals and dynamics) is something different. I think the UAFX pedal captures this, as well as Missing Link Audio's Sanatana signature drive pedal. Where the Dude, the Ultraphonix and DMBL haven't quite succeeded.
It's super cool that we are finally getting there. I can understand why Mason was recently upset.
