Nobody likes people who brag about having more gear..

Nonody is a total dweeb if you ask me, tired of his lips movin. Might drag my two boots across em.
Not sure what this means but I'll take your word for it 👍
I like when people brag about their gear, because then I know what I need to buy to 1-up them and have more, so that I can throw it in everyone's faces. It's a vicious cycle.
Me too. Rig rundown is one of my favorite channels and also Guitar Player Magazine which has currently one of the most successful rig discussion youtube channels.

I talk about my stuff and it never fails, there are some who form negative doubt I have what I have. In alot of cases, I've been accused of lying about my gear but I've always proven the fold wrong with videos and what not. But this thread isn't about me

As far as 1upping, never felt the need. I pretty much buy different things that I don't think others would have :)

The Fender Pano Verb that's on the way for example, is something I doubt I'll ever see anyone else with (in person).

Says he doesn't need to 1-up anyone and in the same breath brags he has stuff no one else will ever have.
Another troll comment from you eh?

Fuck it, I'll explain it and hopefully it will make more sense....

I'm not into getting what's popular. I like buying what you won't likely run into people having. Doesn't have anything to do with affordability. Many members here know that I would be a gear head if I was dirt poor, regardless. So yeah. Nothing about looking down on anyone here. I'd ask for you to show me where you get this stuff from but I know you simply won't answer.

However, the thing going around about people who were brought up with silver spoons is a wee but ridiculous. Many a people who have a dream, don't chase it but spend a lifetime in fear and use excuses to counter their failure at successes.
If you say so...

In places like this, I don’t know if it’s so much bragging as it people psyched on cool stuff doing Show And Tell for people who we all know are into the same stuff and want to see it.

But Steve is spot on about this for places like TGP lol.

I mean there’s “whoa check out this thing I’ve been wanting forever, I can’t believe the stars finally aligned and I got one! Here’s all the stuff it can do” and then there’s “ahem, let me deign to show you my latest acquisition. Look how rare it is. Feel free to show pictures of yours if you like… oh you don’t have one? Not surprised, these are after all, heh, exceedingly rare. Only the smartest and most tasteful of collectors like me could ever hope to own one.”

The first is what you generally see in most forums, and the latter is what you get at TGP.

I'm not sure where this thread is going, but I am predicting a train wreck.

Anyway, I'd just like to say women like to show off their jewellery, men like to show off their own too.
