Bugera 6262 Infinium

These things have kinda faded away into obscurity, but a minty one just popped up for sale.

Is it really a legit alternative to a 5150II/6505 PLUS? I understand it's pretty much a direct clone, but will it burn my house down?

if i remember right, the only problem with them was a ribbon cable or something stupid that was fixed long before the infinium series. for $300 or so id definitely grab one, i really kind of want the 1960

From what I can remember reading over the years, RaceU4her is correct. The Infinium series amps are a solid bet from a reliability standpoint. Inexpensive to buy as well.

You can mix and match tubes as well.

They also had a model that was a direct plexi ripoff from what I remember reading.

IIRC, Bugera 1960 Infinium, 150W, EL34, was their plexi amp; not sure about their 1990 Infinium, 120W with 5881 power tubes was a clone of JCM 900...
