Which 25.5” scale, 24 frets ss frets superstrats can hang with Suhr Modern / Anderson Angel?

Definitely not for everyone, especially on this forum lol, but I love their look and in person there’s some nice little touches that also add to the sleek avante garde vibe they go for (pics of mine below). On the used market they can sometimes be had in the low $3k range like the ones I got and imo for that price nothing touches them (at least for something similar-ish), but I’d pay a lot more if I had to. They have a unique sound I’ve not heard in anything else besides Deimel who is good friends with them, so they know some of each other’s secrets in builds. The models with the rubbery finish are by far the tightest sounding guitars I’ve heard so far along with Deimel’s

They look great. It’s just me liking superstrats exclusively haha

Rubbery finish? Like how rubbery? Wouldn’t it actually dampfen vibration?

Also Luxxtone and Chubtone

I get that. My favorite looking guitars probably still are the right superstrats. I bet Tao could make really cool superstrats if they wanted to or maybe they’d be open to making one if ordered. They could call it the S-Bucket instead of T-Bucket haha

The white one below’s finish literally feels like rubber. It might. It’s not the loudest guitar acoustically, but has this tightness, precision and focus to the sound that I haven’t heard matched in anything else I’ve tried besides other Tao or Deimel’s with the rubber finish. The other Tao has a normal looking finish (as far as I can tell) and just sounds like a great guitar, still some unique qualities about its sound, but no so overtly unique in sound like the rubbery ones

You should shoot them a message about that 🤔

I think there is a lot in that range to compete/hang with Suhr and TA. I’ve owned a few models of each.

Below are some I’ve owned I think compare
  • EBMM Sabre (and JP s as mentioned)
  • Mayones
  • Caparison
  • Skervesen
  • Charvel Custom
  • Jackson soloist USA
  • Ibanez Custom J
  • PRS Custom 24 (although it’s 25” scale)
  • Kii but I don’t think they’re around any more
  • Ibanez Pia

I think most Ibanez Prestige superstrat models would compare well.

Not a superstrat player, but if I was looing for something like this I'd get (and have) EBMM Majesty. I plan to get another Majesty eventually.

Why not a Luxxtone? Or even a Carillion? You have a majesty already, wouldn’t it be more fun to have some change?

I have an older Majesty with the older pickups; a new Majesty with the newer pickups is enough change; when I find a guitar brand/model I like I get a few. I have enough variety already, maybe too much. The Majesty is versatile as well, more versatile than my Kaizen, but I really like how the Kaizen sounds and feels, even if it's less versatile. I think two Majesty are enough.

Oh, just steal the pickups from a display piece, what’s all the hassle about it? 😂

I saw you buying those Kaizens is bulk 😂

I won't mess with the Majesty wiring. wiring and soldering are not fun. :D

yes, got a bit carried away with Kaizens, but pleased with all of them. still wouldn't mind an apollo black or radium though, eventually. the current guitar in rotation that I'm using now is my Kaizen indigo.

Charvel GG model
PSA: it's on clearance at GC Arlington TX for like $1g off.
Played this the other day and didn't dig it as much as I'd hoped.
Love my Suhr Modern, don't find it sterile at all. Mahogany body, maple top, sounds pretty close to my LPs. I'm considering trading the CS Fender Strat for a Suhr Classic.
My buddy's Andersons are some of the best guitars I've played. He keeps telling me to spec one out. And I wanna! But the $$$. His Icon and 7 string play so ez, its like your brain is connected to the fretboard. Def not sterile.
