I met him numerous times and was even working with his manager to get a Route 66 tour booked for his 66th birthday. Sadly, that never came to light. he was a super down to earth person. today sucks. RIP Paul

Dang, the best Maiden frontman ever, gone at 66. His Maiden work was the best Maiden work. RIP Paul Di'Anno I hope you are resting easy with the Lord now.

Sad, sad day...I strongly prefer the earliest Maiden records, and favor Paul's gritty, raspy vocals over the operatic Dickinson. Long haul of health struggles, he can now rest. God Bless.

Just saw Maiden last week. Honestly it sucked. The first two Maiden albums were total metal benchmarks, thought they jumped their own shark post Piece of Mind. The DiAnno era is my favorite. Rest easy Wrathchild.
