Throw a bunch on a rotary and experiment. As you mod the amp, you'll probably want to keep tweaking stuff until you find values that work well for your own personal mod. My current setup for my own mod I have going on is an on/off/on with a 1000pF / off / 4700pF setup. If you don't want to drill holes, you can use a push/pull pot.

For a bright cap? Any decent quality ceramic disk will work. Something like a Vishay/BC Components one
