I'm starting to buy to many things, thank the lord I'm divorced, I'd be serious trouble sleeping on the couch.

I'm buying cheap decent guitars, but I need sponsor I'll go cold turkey and only call when another EVH gear and guitar goes on crazy good deal sale. Walk me back from the edge Bros

Quit buying cheap stuff! Set your sights on something special and savor the anticipation of acquiring or building something you always dreamed about but never thought you could get. I waited a long time for a certain amp to be made for me, then sold a really rare and expensive guitar to travel first class to go get it. When I built the Hanneman Marshall it took a crazy amount of time, effort and good friends to make that fevered dream come true. My custom shop Deans all took 6-12 months to get made...which allowed me to save and pay off by the time they were finished. My first decent bass was a Rick 4003 that I mowed every lawn and cleaned every gutter in my area at the age of 14.

Over the decades I've collected a bunch of cool stuff that is important to me. I have a real deal Leroy Neiman "Femlin" stashed away. Several sets of multiple layered animation cels from the movie Heavy Metal matted and framed. These are nice, unique things that I saved up for and hunted down. They all have memories attached to them that make me grin as I type this.

I'm not saying cheap stuff doesn't come with memories. I'm saying that the effort I put into saving and acquiring them in and of itself is a journey to be remembered and enjoyed.

This "may" be one of my most expensive purchases ever on a guitar. I played one at Fuller's Vintage Guitars, here in Houston this weekend. I have only played one other TA. this guitar is hands down one of the best I have ever touched. it made every amp I played sound good.
