Go to practice amp

What do you guys use? sometimes, I don't feel like firing up my gig rig and whatnot and like a simple amp, like a modeling amp for noodling and whatnot.

I have had the Line 6, Boss Katana's, Blackstars, etc.

For the last few years, I have been using the Spark 40 and loving it and the features it has with the app.

I just picked up a Spark 2 this weekend. LOVE IT. the AI features on the app are really cool. room for improvement, but nonetheless, heading in the right direction. If I ask it to create the rhythm sound from "rock you like a hurricane", it presents me with a few options, and I'll be damned. there it is!

Also has a built in looper and drum machine. Separate volume for steaming songs and guitar. I can upload my guitar karaoke tracks into Apple Music and import those into Spark and put on a one man show.

I can't say enough about how feature rich this little amp is.

Also have a USB C powered Spark Go. It is tiny and fits in the palm of my hands with most of the same features without the looper that rocks.

Vypyr tube 60 but the Spark does spark my interest :dunno:
ha! awesome!

I am loving it so far. I simply love the ability to stream music and guitar to the amp. oh, and did I mention it has a rechargeable battery so you can take it on the go? Like where is that cat with his Mr. Microphone now? I got something for his ass! lol

Porta-jam rig for my truck. I don't practice, I just play.

I've got a Deluxe Reverb that sits in the living room, half the time I play it straight in, half the time I'll use whatever dirt pedal I left sitting on top of it last.

When that's too much (or I need gobs of gain) I go to the Neural DSP Petrucci plug-in on my laptop.

Generally a kemper, rocktron velocity power amp, and either one of my teles or the green goblin depending on whether i need humbuckers, and my 2x12 1965 conversion with scumbacks (it's really light)

I also will have whatever pedalboard isn't at a practice space out, and make it work, but most of the time this is where I experiment with pedals

This is my version of "grab n go"

I don't like the sound of tiny speakers in general, but if this is too loud i just turn off the rocktron and use headphones (generally sennheiser hd600s) with the kemper or something

Usually computer plugins, Helix, or for amps: DSL40CR, Origin 50C, Catalyst 100, or Fender Super Twin

I use a pedalboard with a Joyo JF-14 Amp Simulator on it. Tube Screamer, Vibe and Wah before it and a Delay after it. I run that into a mixer and then into a QSC K10 mounted on the wall. I can get the volume really low and it's an amazing sound. Also have a vocal mic and a Harmonizer on a separate channel on the mixer. I also run a Beatbuddy ( backing tracks ) into the mixer.

It's pretty much my live rig for solo gigs as well but I usually use a Fender Acoustasonic. I do bring Electric Guitars to gigs as well.

I have a 74 Deluxe Reverb and a 69 Princeton Reverb that sound great but impossible to get a real quiet killer tone in my little 6x12 studio. If I ever decide to join a band again and make shit money at gigs I'm ready ...lol
