So, I gave this car to my nephew after I couldn't put a real motor in it in CA (unless I wanted to spend $15k for an LS3 swap), so I gave it to my nephew. Well, CO adopted the CA CARB regulations so now he can't put a real motor in it. But, since it's a "Historical Vehicle" here in AZ, I can do whatever I want...including losing the smog pump, EGR/AIR crap, cats, put in true dual exhaust, and a new motor. Woohoo.

Going with an ATK HP94 383/415HP/460TQ and ditching that dog 305 V8, 150hp/210TQ motor as soon as I get back. Got the 700r4 OD auto, Star Wars Dash, every option under the sun, including the Bose AM/FM/tape deck with graphic EQ that swivels on the pod. Had a "down to the metal" $8k paint job done to it in 2013 (before the CARB snafu), still looks pretty good after 11 years. Of course, it's been sitting in a hangar under my bro's jet wing since 2015. LOL

Sweet car, have you looked into an LS3 swap into the Camaro. That body is clean. Nice car

You can plate it in South Dakota, with the LS3 swap, I thought that was front range airport in the pics, Dewild Performance off 88th and Huron is a great shop he does tons of these conversion. They know how to get around the insanity of the new CO bs.. DM I'll give you the owners number. They do great work at a fair price.

I went with a 383 415hp/480 tq crate motor. Mid length headers. It's registered as an antique vehicle. I get to take off the smog junk, lose the cat converter, and other goofy stuff. Still waiting on it from the shop (I'm in Prescott, AZ), hopefully soon. Then I can put the gold rear spoiler on it. This was a Berlinetta model with the Star Wars dash, but my Mom tapped a truck making a right hand turn and all you could get was a Z28 front end to replace it.

That is sweet, it'll run hard the 82s are not real heavy. I dig that body style

I bought four 90 Z28 wheels and tires for it. The front tires rubbed, so I got slightly less wide tires for the front. The other two tires are waiting for me to shred the rear tires. So I have two for backup. Backup is a proritiy! LOL
