For sale is my purple Monomyth Skeleton Key v2. These amps are fucking killer.

Purchased from equ1nox in August. He gave me a great deal and I’m passing it on! Special price for forum members!

Selling because I purchased a new SK from Shea and I prefer it to this one.

Here’s the catch: local deal only. Local to 06492. I have *terrible* luck shipping amps and I really don’t want to do it unless I have to.

Good news! I’m willing to travel to make a deal. We can meet up within a few hours of my location to make it as easy as possible.

What type of power tubes are in these beasts?
 
I got a box this weekend and I’m willing to entertain shipping. We can discuss cost if you’re interested. It’ll be expensive to ship and insure but we can work something out.

Still prefer someone local but we can talk about shipping. Thanks guys!

The “Dreadful” run that I purchased is simply the updated version of the amp. The mid-cut which is present on the v2 (like the one I’m selling) is replaced by a compression switch. I prefer that toggle to the mid-cut.

In my opinion, the updated version has a little more low end (something the v2 definitely doesn’t lack) and a little more sizzle. Honestly, it may just come down to the tubes! The amps are very close but when I A/B’d them, I took the Dreadful every time.

Based on what Shea has on the website, the Dreadful run was functionally identical to the “rev2B” run from a while back. The version I’m selling, the v2, predates the 2B.

Ship with Pirate Ship and it likely won’t be any more than $100 give or take, fully insured, anywhere in the country.

The mid switch went away since technically it just changed the taper of the mids knob and all the tones were still available without it. Replaced with a new switch to get better lower gain tones; I don't know what it does circuit wise but from what I can tell is it cuts a lot of bass and helps make for a sparklier sound if you've got your gain low already. Oh and the gain boost (blood) switch got moved from the back to the front.

I have a V1 that I had Shae mod to this new rev and the only changes in tone from what I can tell are in the switch functionality mentioned above and not in the circuit itself. I use the same settings as before the update and it sounds the same to me.
