I have to stand it, practice amps are for rich dudes and guys that work full time. So in other words, not for me. It can create the bad habit of having too hard of a pick attack while you are trying to hear yourself but mostly it doesn't bother me since I play a semi hollow.

Axe FX or QC. But honestly, I always have an amp cabled up and ready, so that is probably the quickest route (turn on, wait for warm up to flip up standby, play). Instant gratification.

Same. I'm able to get really nice tones with mine - profiling my own amps has been really convenient

I prefer the real deal, but if volume is a consideration digital has caught up imo

My practice/rehearsal/small gig combo amp: Reverend Goblin 5/15 watt 1x12 combo amp in a custom Mojotone 1x12 combo cab loaded with a Celestion Creamback 65 speaker. I still have the original OEM 1x10 combo cab & Jensen Neo 1x10 speaker that came with it stored away. I can run my effects 4 cable method into the effects loop or straight into the amp's input. It is the review amp from Guitar Player magazine article and I bought it from Darrin Fox of Guitar Player magazine in San Francisco, CA in 2010.

My practice/grab-n-go is a Runt 20 with a few mods. Dave added a stacked pot for ftsw-able volumes on the dirty channel. He also added a Thump/2nd Master knob; I just use the Thump feature. And then I swapped out the 65w Cream for a very broke-in Tone Tubby red.
