We've already had a C+ reissue, the JP2C. Which unfortunately doesn't get a true C+ tone. It IS a good amp however. Now, how in the world is Mesa, under Gibson rule, going to do better than Mesa prior?
Highly doubtful they will do better than the JP. But, they'll double the price and some idiots will buy. I'll wait for an RTer to buy/try before returning, and honestly compares it to his vintage version.

So here’s the deal. I don’t want to normally take the time and waste my breath stroking off my own dick in a public setting but here we go.
I run AmpGuru profiles. You can go look up just over the past couple years all the rare shit I have acquired and experience I have. The fact I grew up in the MA metal and hardcore scene and then for years met artists dealing in credible high end gear acquisition, trades, flips… to then the past 5 or so years being lucky to work with many more on the profile front … ya. I also indeed have befriended some very intelligent builders as well as dealers, employees, sales reps over the years. Dropping many hundreds of thousand in builds will. Also yes, I have befriended and worked with quite a bit of YouTuber along the way and other people who just flat out spend piles of money and have connections to builders, employees, sales reps, artists themselves. Those of us who aren’t so cunty and “calling out out the bullshit” macho internet guys out there share info.
I legit LOVE rectifiers and anything Bogner. The reissues as of late have for once sparked the inner amp nerd in me again like a steaming teen in the 90s waiting for the next episode of TRL to see what happens next.
Also, additional info because you’ll see it if you looo up the Instagram for years I was in various FB amp groups making people drool. Asking me for inside scoops, demos, and my opinions. Christopher Reardon. That’s who I am. Also any one with credible sources doesn’t just waive their dick around and directly name drop unless they are comfortable and free to do so where it won’t cause drama. That’s when you lose having access to many credible resources. So stop being a dingus.

I’m sitting on 30+ amps and 20 guitars here all in the 2-10k price range EACH. that’s just today. Not all the flipping and trading I have done making over 100 kemper and 100 quad cortex tone packs. 20+ years of GRINDING at researching and acquiring gear as a borderline obsession would legit have 200 amps and 200 guitars on the “I’m so cool I used to play this” list I see people drop there in a sig as a badge of honor.

This is likely the correct answer. It's basically gonna be a JP2C (or worse, a Mark VII) with 2C+ cosmetics. It'll get the usual YouTube hype treatment to drive demand. I'm sure it'll sound good, like a JP2C, but no thanks...don't need to be driven to mad hysteria over it.

I’ve since retubed the preamp and it’s even more gnarly. Amps fucking nuts.
I asked @Beyond Black to throw a quick clip together showing it functioning before I purchased and it wasn’t intended to be anything more than just a quick riff test.

Also … I’ve definitely heard Mesa sound better than that phone clip that’s a wild bold statement. Good sure. Best? No. I’m also partial to rectifiers over marks though so maybe I’m just brain dead and the absolute sith statement laid out there was accurate.

I’d live a logical answer aside from transformers why do people think Mesa under Gibson can’t make an accurate 2c+ recreation? Yet everyone has a hard on that you can send various mark revisions into Mesa and get the 2c+ mod. If you can make and mod a iii to have 2c+ tone (which not all those 3s had the “big ass magic iron) why can’t Mesa just recreate the magical iron and layout the preamp components of a 2c+ in place to have it sound accurate? I don’t get the vast negativity in the Mesa community on this.
I also own a jp2c and I like it. Shred modes fucking sick. Kept it over a blue stripe as well as a green strip I was running into a 300 colliseum power amp to emulate the mark colliseum sound.
