It was the only "Rock and roll" album in my dad's collection when I was growing up.I remember listening to frampton comes alive on 8 track in my mom’s convertible Chrysler back then. I thought that was the most amazing thing I had ever heard. He could make his guitar talk….
I’m so jealous of your concert experiences bro. I guess that is the benefit of living in NYC… here… there’s nothing… I love James gang also…I saw Frampton 3x. A couple of times in the early 2000's. The BEST was Central Park, NY. Schaefer Music Festival. July 27, 1975. One year before "Frampton Comes Alive" came out. I recall the sound was awesome at this outdoor venue. James Gang opened.
A year earlier and Tommy Bolin was in the James Gang. I missed him by a year. They were very good though. Yup, going to concerts in NYC was a blast.I’m so jealous of your concert experiences bro. I guess that is the benefit of living in NYC… here… there’s nothing… I love James gang also…
I never realized that he was in that band until I saw one of the videos on your YouTube page….A year earlier and Tommy Bolin was in the James Gang. I missed him by a year. They were very good though. Yup, going to concerts in NYC was a blast.
I’m jealous of friends a little older than me, who were at the Fillmore East every weekend.
Tommy was in the James Gang in 1973/1974. Two great albums, Bang and Miami.I never realized that he was in that band until I saw one of the videos on your YouTube page….
One of the greatest Live Albums EVER. My sister had the record, and she was 8 years older than me, I had to be 7 or 8.. I think I played it more than she did. I was a big Kiss fan at the time.. I was turned on to Frampton, Foreigner, Zeppelin, Queen, Pink Floyd, Bad Company and much more, at a young age.I remember listening to frampton comes alive on 8 track in my mom’s convertible Chrysler back then.
