Need Advice for a MIDI-Controlled True Bypass Loop Switcher Pedal

I had considered purchasing a VP4 but I feel that it just does not have enough features to replace my Fractal Audio FX8 (the FX8 has been boxed up for a long time and I am now going to start using it).

The FX8 has a large number of features that the new VP4 unfortunately does not offer.

There is no tone suck/coloration with the FX8 and I would have to compare it to the VP4 to see if the VP4 can provide the same level of no tone suck/coloration.

I will be using the FX8 for the effects and controlling my amps.

I have been learning the FX8 pretty well over the last few days and I am now able to control my KSR Colossus and KSR Ares with the FX8 (the Colossus with a midi out and the Ares with a relay) and I know that I can control/switch other amps using one of the midi outs to a relay switching system.

I can use one of the midi outs or relays on the FX8 for switching drive pedals on and off in front of amps.

There are several drive pedals that I feel could be switched on/off in front of my amps for tonal variety (I have already tried it with two different midi switchable drive pedals and it worked well).

It is freaking killer and definitely alleviates tonal boredom :)

What would you suggest for a a MIDI-Controlled True Bypass Loop Switcher Pedal?

I need one that does not tone suck or cause any tonal coloration.

It needs to be midi controllable.

I think I'll need one that can switch between 4-6 drive pedals.

It does not need to blend them (just one on at a time is fine).

I did come across the Morningstar Engineering ML5 and it looks like it could work for me but I would appreciate any suggestions and/or benefit from your own experience with different ones out there (you might know of some to stay away from based upon past experiences and/or readings).

I had a Voodoo Labs GCX years ago that definitely had tone suck even though it says True-Bypass.

I believe the tone suck occurred due to it being a series loop and not a parallel one.

The tone degraded once I had added more than one effect in the loop.

Thanks for your time and considerations!!

I'm following this thread. I have no experiences with midi controllers but I'd like to get one in the future and was considering a Morningstar. Want something I could easily learn, hooks up to a variety of gear I might come across and I could use it for a decade or two in a rig.
