MURDERATOR
So much killer music from back then. Hard to choose anything to post.
Leadbelly was probably among the first dozen artists I got familiar with, so, yes. They actually tried to cancel Ram Jam for this song and it backfired spectacularly when the wokesters were shown "hey this song was originally done by a black man and they are paying homage to it". It's a great rendition, totally unique and original. Good morning Floyd. I hope you get a little family time this weekend. Life too short to be working all the time the way you sometimes do.I assume you know this is a Leadbelly tune right ?

Sounds like a good time. I been trying to clean my house up cause it's been a wreck. My guns were a dusty mess so I got them all cleaned up. Rearranged some stuff and got on the wife to donate some of her junk. Need to do an oil change today and finish cleaning up in here.Good morning brother.
I'm actually off work until a week from Monday. Of course I will probably work harder here than I do at work, but I will also have time to relax and hang with the fam. Here in a bit I'm heading to the range. Changed some springs in a rifle and I want to make sure it is functioning properly. Also do some more fine tuning on the zeros on a pair of .22s I recently acquired. I was hoping to have the part I ordered from GG&G for the Beretta 1301 by tomorrow, but it probably isn't going to happen. I have a couple jarhead buddies meeting me for some shooting tomorrow too.
Morning bud. Bout to take a ride. It is a gorgeous day for it.That whole album is killer. Just about every track is great. Morning Smash!!!
Well had to postpone the range today. Oh well.Sounds like a good time. I been trying to clean my house up cause it's been a wreck. My guns were a dusty mess so I got them all cleaned up. Hey, I scored a .22 myself the other day! Marlin semi, tube fed magazine. Thing has a gold trigger on it. Like new in box! Pretty sure it was never fired. Would've preferred a 10/22 but the price was right and truthfully I don't wanna dump another fortune into mags. Now I can lay waste to the varmints and feral animals that have been after my chickens. The gamo whisper pellet rifle just wasn't cutting it. Have a good time shooting with your friends, I know that is a great source of enjoyment for you.
I think you are right, model 60. I'm guessing this is an 80's or 90's era one cause it's inherited. I hadn't even gotten around to looking it up yet, lol. I'll have to take it out back and give it a shot one of these days but I left the ammo in friends car. Maybe this week. Hopefully not a jam-o-matic cause a good .22 pretty much rounds out the rifle-pistol-shotgun-.22lr utilitarian gun collection for me. I'll let you know. Thanks for the info Floyd.Well had to postpone the range today. Oh well.
One of the .22s I inherited is likely the same model as your Marlin, minus the gold trigger. It's a model 60. We used to call them "Jamomatics". They either run or they don't. The one I have runs great and isn't picky about ammo. It's an older model. There's a fix for the ones that don't run. It's a spring ( I forget which one) and a mod to the ramp. When they run they're as good or better than modern 10/22s. It's hard to beat an older 10/22.
22s are generally more ammo sensitive than a lot of other rifles. So when you find something that cycles reliably and shoots accurately stick with it. CCI is always pretty good and both these 22s seem to like the Remington Golden Bullets, which is good since they're cheap.I think you are right, model 60. I'll try and get to that serial # this weekend. I think I'm gonna run to Academy today and grab some CCI, that has always been my go-to though it's a bit more expensive. Maybe grab a box or two of 9mm and a few x39 soft points to keep my deer caliber stocked. Spent all morning changing oil and waxing the wife's Jeep and I have some friends I need to visit this afternoon.22s are generally more ammo sensitive than a lot of other rifles. I like to stick to either copper or plated bullets in .22 because lead is a bitch to clean and will quickly foul up your barrel.
You can PM me the serial number and any writing on the receiver or barrel and I can tell you when and where it was made if you'd like.
Just pondering 22 ammo. I remember when it was 5 bucks for 550 rounds…. . Now. Ehhhh.I'll try and get to that serial # this weekend.
