Someone built an AIC Dirt pedal......How close did he get?

I thought about few of those nailed the tones and was pretty impressive. A few of them didn't have enough of that tightness. We Die Young sounded solid IMO, same as Check My Brain.

Are you being facetious ? I hope so. Otherwise you need to get over yourself, oh purveyor of and decider of what great tone it. There has been healthy interest in specific gear and guitar choices related to Cantrell and AIC, maybe longer than YOU've been alive.

I didn't think the pedal was horrible....I've heard worse.

It did have some sounds that resembled the album tones. It doesn't sound like the actual Bogner Snorkler but I imagine people could make it work to get close if AIC tones are what they are into.

It's not really a hard tone to chase really.....but it's a good amp guitar tone if you ask me.....

No.
The riff is a gear.
The most incorrect played guitar riff of all time.

Probably the amp he was playing through but it had a boxy quality and a grittier midrange than I would like but to me it did get pretty close to the overall character of those records. Considering how many amps were blended etc to try and nail it in a pedal would not be an easy feat. Maybe something for some new fangled capture pedal?
Could be interesting to hear this through a decent powered head and 4x12.

Edit….actually though the Tool tone he got was pretty spot on. This could be a fun pedal overall. Pretty throaty which I like.
