I did a little research and thanks to a TGP member, solved my issue with the amp.
There is a 4700 pf Bright Cap across the Ch. 2 Volume control. On this amp, IMO, it is too much. If you pull the Ch. 2 Volume pot there is MORE gain and brightness. It's way too much, and no switch (the 50 has the switch) to turn it off.
So, I took the chassis out, located the offending Cap, and snipped one leg.
Put it back together, plugged it in w/ my Silver Sky, and there it was. Perfect. With the Ch.2 Volume knob "in", it was a bit darker, but the Treble and Presence controls add the right amount of bite.
With the Ch. 2 knob pulled out, it added gain and bright, and it was perfect.
I'd get the 50 if I had the $$$$ but right now that $$$ is going into a Recliner. LOL
