Talk to me about the carstens grace .

Seems like a very expensive weird sounding amp unless you want to sorta’ nail an era of Smashing Pumpkins tones?
Anytime an amp is designed around odd speaker match’s, I know exactly what that means.
For me, I have to vibe with the speakers like I vibe with the amp, it’s how I hear the amp through the speakers.
Speakers ain’t the condoms, they’re the pu**y
Kinda the horse & cart.
I contemplated getting a Warm Machine but the speaker thing kept surfacing and no effects loops.
And that guy doesn’t like loops in his designs so when they stuck one in the amp, never seems right.

My interest is peaked ,
Hey man - I have had a Grace since 2021. Awesome amp, I love it to death. One of the coolest new amps to come out in recent years. I would describe it like an SLO and a Trainwreck Express had a baby. It has all the gain, body and push of an SLO but cleans up incredibly well, completely transforming into a different amp as you roll your guitar's volume back. I've made a lot of videos about it on my channel where you can hear/learn more:

Here's a fully produced video I made using it (and V30 speakers) so you can check out some sounds:

Here's a video where you can hear the Grace with a variety of speaker cabinets:

Here you can hear how to use your volume and tone controls to get great cleans with the Grace:

This is from the release day of the Grace Deux (20w, which I would strongly consider, especially if you want to play at bedroom volume), and I compare it to the 100w Grace:

Finally, here's a comparison to a Trainwreck Express clone -- you can hear they're pretty similar!

New Smashimg Pumpkins have some of the best tones I’ve ever heard . And unique . It’s like a crunch with a modern weight . You would want the Carstens Empire for a modern sound though

Just an FYI - Brian does put loops in his amps now, due to popular request. The Warm Machine doesn't really rely on strange speakers the same way the Grace does. Sounds great with Greenbacks, V30s, Creambacks, etc. You can hear it here with a regular old Friedman 4x12 loaded with Greenbacks on top and V30s on bottom:
