Fractal GAS. Again

I've been thinking about a Fractal again...for awhile now, (FM9); so watching vids about it.

Found this one especially interesting which is doing nothing to reduce my Fractal GAS.

I have a Helix Floor, and really enjoy my computer rig for guitar...where I may be able to do something similar to this vid...but the Fractal is really on another level.

As a tube amp nut, I can honestly say I love my FM9T. I use it 90% of the time now. The online tutorials teach you very well. At a recent gig a couple of my fellow tube amp nuts were convinced I had an amp hidden underneath the stage. They couldn't believe how good the FM9T sounded...

I use my axeIII as my interface into protools and studio 1

If it's late at night, I'll just fire up the IRX into the AxeIII and I'm incredibly happy. Running amps into OX into Axe into studio 1 is stellar.

If I go jam in a band setting, my FM9 makes it so much more convenient
Work desk normally has the FM9 next to it though I almost never play it there, demanding gig and all though it pays for the music gear

Fractal has built an amazing company: the new firmware is fantastic, direct to customer model, constant support and updates

Amazing

The fractal units sound incredible through a tube poweramp. Not really a compromise to a “real” amp.
I know it's blasphemous to say around here but I think that I like the Fractals better into a clean solid state amp utilizing the power amp modeling on the amp block.
I almost exclusively run them into guitar cabs.

I should have explained that I really only use fractal for delay, reverb, rotaries, and harmonic Tremelo when I’m recording an amp through the ox.

That’s if I’m even bothering to print effects

Regardless, you could do four cable method, I just don’t most of the time

Everything on my SoundCloud page passed into the computer via fractal, I’m probably 50-50 amps versus model amps with demos

I am also a tube amp nut (I mean, I'm on this forum hahaha) but I really love my AxeFX. I actually use it all the time because it's so convenient for practicing or figuring out a song or playing along with a backing track. I haven't used it live yet but I really have gotten my money's worth out of it. I put some cool OwnHammer IRs on it yesterday that sound cool as hell too.

I had an Axe-FX Ultra when it was the top model; still have a Helix Floor, but the Fractal just keeps expanding and improving faster than Helix and everything else out there...and sounds great...and does things many others can't.

I have most of the tube amps I want, maybe a couple more in the future; and a few more guitars. Not much into effects/pedals, but have a HX-Effects...

Sold my H90, and I have a Poly Effects Beebo on the way that was supposed to be delivered last Friday, then yesterday, now probably Monday because FedEx can't accurately predict it's delivery - UPS and even the USPS are doing better tracking and estimating delivery.

Trying to decide between a Jubilee vs Quick rod, but between my SL-X, DSL, JVM410H and Engl Artist Edition they may be redundant?

With the FM9 my gear fund is tapped out now; as I also ordered a digital organ from Thomann last week, and recently got a new Gibson '61 SG Standard in white (15% off)...

Put the credit card down…

I started with the Ultra, then the II and since its release I have the III and FM9. They are great, and the tonal difference from a tube amplifier continues to decrease. Zero maintenance, thousands of options on tap, what’s not to love?
