Nice little Saturday

Got to spend a couple hours today playing a G&L Rampage that just came in. Thing is sick and definitely has its own voice compared to my other guitars. I was expecting a pretty traditional superstrat tone but it is something else to my ear. Really fun riff machine.

Put some fresh E34L’s in one of my Bogners. The fiber optic contraption in there is cool as shit. Got her biased up and sounding great.

Lastly, have a buddy that owns a used guitar shop. Popped in to say what’s up but he wasn’t there. Had to talk myself out of buying a used ESP MII, but I did walk out with an Analogman GE7. God damn thing sounds killer - stoked on that and looking forward to messing with it some more

I don't have anything right now that would benefit from an EQ, but I've wanted one for a while just to have in the toolkit. That and analogman or keeley is just extra win. That and the MII have been on my radar for a while now. I'm glad I don't have your friends, I would be even more broke, lol.

Man I didn’t really start messing with them until this year. I mostly use them for mid gain tones through a stock Marshall - just a little extra sauce and it’s nice to be able to fine tune.

I also use one with the levels way down to act like a footswitchable clean channel into the Marshalls. A lot of people put them into the loop to really shape the sound - I haven’t gone that far yet as I really don’t use fx loops ever.

All that to say, grab one. There’s a $30 one on amazon that I have that is perfectly useable

yeah, I've seen people use them as a boost this way, and it sounded great. I know the pedal you're talking about, but I'm a snob about pedals. I want that analogman now that I know he mods them, lol.

Nice! Congrats. G&L stuff is underrated.

EQ pedals are great. I had a GE7 long ago but it was a noisy bastard. Then, took a chance on the dirt cheap(at the time) Dano Fish n Chips eq...20 bucks new (back in 2008 I think lol) and it was much quieter. Only drawback was the switch on the pedal was cheap and after a few months of gigging poof there it went. So I'd buy them 2 at a time and they'd last a year. Still have few in my gig bag.
