King Diamond killed it in MTL

Saw the King this past weekend in Montreal. Bit of a pilgrimage but so worth it.. dragged 4 guys who had never really heard King Diamond and although they said it isn't their usual taste in music, they all agreed it was an amazing show. King started the tour a little rough with some shows with timing and singing issues but I think he's warmed up now because his voice was on point for the most part. As for the band, what can you say.. total pros. Andy is so incredible. Wead seems to play more volume but when Andy cuts in, it is always with those signature classic lead spots. He's so clean too. Incredible player.

If you guys can catch a show on this tour, absolutely go. It isn't that expensive either. I compare King to someone like Taylor Swift who is so obviously using vocal tracks and all sorts of bull$hit and the King still does it live and uses a backup vocalist for some of the highs. It is real live music. None of this in the can crap.

I saw him in Toronto on Sunday. My first time seeing King. He did not disappoint!

What's crazy is the back to back shows on the tour.. sometimes 3 days straight and a ton of travel. You'd think at his age there would be vocal and other burnout but he's getting her done night after night. I have huge respect for this guy in addition to being a long time fan.

Absolutely!

I also gotta give HUGE props to Andy. He's a fantastically talented guitar player. One of my all time favorites.

Yes love Andy, In my top 10 without a doubt and often flies under the radar despite writing some absolute bangers and having so many signature lead riffs that he does. That guy absolutely knows how to craft a lead. Has a great sense of timing and rythm to be able to know when to use his speed and when you hang or flutter notes. I love how he uses a floyd.

Yes sir. Amazing venue as well. I will def go back for other shows. That place has mojo.

Sweet!! I just bookmarked it, as I haven't been there.. Montreal is only a little more than 2 hours away for me, but most shows I go to are in the Albany, NY area, or VT/NH/Boston. . I used to love Montreal and really should start getting there more often. Glad you loved the show and venue

Saw KD last night at the Chicago Theatre…..HOLY FUCK….
They were on fire. Every one of them at the top of their game.
The playing, his voice, the theatrics, everything top notch.
Must see show for any fan of great metal.
