Two amps-one effects unit….🤪🤢🤮😂🤌

MURDERATOR
Picked up an aby pedal. Right now I’m running stereo and using my ms3 for my effects with both amps. However I’m slaving one into the other. Basically my ultra plus is my main sound and I’m slaving the impregnater as my number two. Wah and boosts up front going into the input of the ms3…7 cable method I believe is what it’s called. So what I want to try is my wah and boosts all into the aby’s input. Then the outputs to each amps inputs respectively. My question is how to use the ms3 for effects in the loops of each separate amp. There’s also different settings on the ms3 for output configurations as well. I’m probably overthinking this but thought I’d ask before diving in for suggestions. Thanks!

I do this with the Fractal FX8. I run 4CM to two different amps (Mesa Mark V and a Verellen Skyhammer) and control everything through the FX8. You could go input effects into the ABY, split to both amps, both amps send to the MS3, stereo effects, return to both amps. I have the bonus of using the FX8 to switch channels on both amps too, so I can have both clean with phasers to both straight gain at the touch of a button.

You can do it. The only thing to consider is ground loops by connecting circuits to a common source. You might need hum buster cables.

The MS3 looks to be a mono input though…or is it a TRS stereo capable input? I imagine not if it’s also being a loop switcher.

Yeah, you're right. The mono input with the MS3 kinda hampers that idea. He would need the ES8 to get stereo.

Yes it’s a mono input. I’m not really wanting to run anything through the front of either amp. Just share chorus, delays and verbs. I’m going to try it out today.
