Animated gif?

I used to use an animated gif for my avatar, Kiss rock and roll over. I switched it to a different pic (jpg or png), now the same animated gif gets an error and doesn't save.

I assume the OP's trying to revert back to his traditional avatar, which is that GIF.

Just to let you know that I haven't forgotten about this issue. We're still working on it but it's not as simple as one could believe ^^
We're still tracking the issue with our system administrators, it looks like it could be due to some kind of memory issue on the server site.

thank you; I also discovered animated gifs I used to post in threads also fail when using the "insert image" function. could be related? only animated gifs seem to have the problem


I attached one for an example. it loads to 100% then stops, then fails when I use "insert image".

I can see that gif moving if I'm reading you right.

you can't add it inline, using "insert image". it fails at 100% when loading; it works when I use "add attachment". it used to work with both
