Some of you may have saw this one in the classifieds this week…

It was love at first sight when I saw the spectacular relic job on this 2019 Les Paul Special.

It’s a heavy relic, but tastefully done, IMO.

It has the checking, the dents, the dings, the chips, the dulling of the gloss…it looks like a vintage Special.

It’s currently loaded with MOJOTONE pickups and harness. I added a MOJOAXE compensated aluminum tailpiece with TONEPROS locking studs.

The neck is a very comfortable rounded 50s profile. Sets up with a great action.

The MOJOTONE pickups sound ok. I have a set of Lollars that I might try in it. It doesn’t sound terrible, just a tad bright, IMO.

Only 7lbs 11ozs!!! Just a really cool axe!!!

Yeah that’s REALLY well done.

I did these two relics myself. Not to pat myself on the back BUT, I have neither ever painted NOR relic’d a guitar before these. I did the hardware relic'ing as well.
