1990 Jackson Dinky Fusion Saturn Graphic

Hey Guys,

Recently, I was watching all the Brandon Ellis videos again and got the itch for a vintage Jackson...
I didn't really have a preference for either a Dinky or a Soloist but I knew it would have to be a flashy color or something more unique.

I found a few 1990/1991 Graphic ones on Reverb, but as soon as I saw this one, I knew I had to get it, haha.
At first, I was a bit unsure because of it being a Fusion model with the shorter Gibson scale length, but since I really like the feel of my Les Paul, I thought I'd just give it a try.

After setting it up in E flat with 10-52 strings and changing the low output humbucker for a Bare Knuckle BootCamp with around 14.5k, I really like how this guitar sounds and feels! I'm still gonna try some other pickups, probably a Duncan JB since I'm looking for something punchy but smooth. I also immediately got rid of that horrible mid-boost circuit and put in a standard 500k volume and tone circuit.

I glued a small wood block in the trem cavity to have it set up dive only, so I could do all the double-stop bends and have it be more stable.

It's a great guitar and I'm very happy to be its new owner!

Badass guitar. I like Eliis, he's a great player. I subscribed to his patreon for a little while and learned some cool tricks.
 
very nice. :love: I had the same year/model with the swirl finish. The stock pickups were pretty weak. I traded it years ago, like an idiot.

Wow ! Excellent playing, killer guitar
 
Nice guitar. There was one on reverb like that fs.
I bought one exactly like that some years ago.I recently bought another Saturn in full scale length with different Saturn graphics. Enjoy that fusion!
