So when is Trump going to jail?

Jack Smith has that "I partied underneath a bridge with Hunter" look down. They look like bros.....

So the MSM's claim that the DOJ doesn't prosecute sitting presidents 'cause it's unconstitutional and that this is why the cases have been dropped is false?

If true, you guys are misrepresenting the situation.

If false, you guys are on-the-money.

IMHO. :dunno:

The MSM is correct in that there's a DOJ policy against prosecuting a sitting president. As usual though the MSM is only telling half truths.

I didn't fully understand how it would all work so I may be getting this wrong. I was reading something that said by dropping charges it would leave the door open to re-prosecute him in 2028/29. Something like if the case was still lingering Trump could pardon himself which would take away the ability to retry the case due to double jeopardy. By dropping everything it would be like nothing happened yet and they could bring the charges up again after his term is over.

Again, I may be getting this wrong because I really don't understand how all of this works and we've never had anything like this happen before. So we don't have an existing precedent to go on. Though I think my point that there's more to dropping charges than basic DOJ policy as the MSM claims holds up.
