Hate to say it but it’s not his best tone imo. My favorites of his are definitely when he has recorded with the JCM 800 “bad boy” as he calls it and even the tone he got from the Mark V demos he did.

On the other hand, where the hell does he find these lawsuit era ESP horizons with the reverse headstocks?!
 
I saw this earlier. It is funny because I always want a Mesa cab, but I like the sound of the Marshall better here. It is not as mid heavy, and has more of a scooped crunchy thing going on.
 
Marshall’s just win to me, been saying this for years. Mine have more lows and highs than my recto cabs, are not super mid forward and sit better/linear in a mix to me….on that note, I still love my recto cabs and use them all the time, they are both great.


Also regardless of what you think of the tone, in my opinion, this clearly shows the sonic differences you’ll hear between these 2 cabs everytime. The more mid forward, more 1k, more grunt, smoother top end of the recto cab, and the more linear, scooped, more lows and highs and more bite of the Marshall cab.
