Anybody make their own salsa?

My Newmans had mold in it, so I decided to try making my own. Holy shit, Newman can go pound fucking sand. Funny I use to hate Cilantro and forced myself into liking it. Can't get enough of it now. Special Shit, on the recipe card is basically all spice. But it really is a type of spice. Someone got it for me for Xmas. Spice is probably not required, but I was drunk and threw this recipe together. Thankfully, my wife wrote it all down, cause I'd never remember how I made it, since I had like 10 beers in me. With the garlic, the 3 chilis, and the hot Ortega taco sauce, it's got some kick to it. Enough to when you're taking a porcelain cruise the next morning you say to yourself "WTF did I eat last night?" 🤔

I've never made my own salsa, but I would take what you have in that tub there and rub it all over my body and scoop it up with chips. That looks delicious.

I rarely buy anything packaged and premade. Hell, I even make my own cakes from scratch, and sometimes my own bread flour or self rising flour from scratch, as I usually only keep AP around. I even, one day, plan to just make my own mustards and mayonnaises, but it's hard to beat Dukes lol

I have, however, made my own pico de gallo once. At the time I hated it, but made it because family came in town and my brother in law really liked it, and I took it as a personal challenge. Now, I love pico de gallo, unless it's that garbage stuff they put on your "salad" at a Mexican join when you order fajitas.
 
Not bragging, but I’m pretty good at it 😉. Homegrown tomatoes, Trinidad Scorps, Cayenne’s, Serrano’s, Jalapeños, etc. Ask @Ventura
